This update includes all the features of the 1.7 patch disk, and also
corrects problems configuring some sound cards to use DMA 0. If you've
already downloaded v1.7 and are not having trouble running your sound card on
DMA 0, you don't need this update.

The v1.7 patch is intended to fix "Unexpected Interrupt" errors, joystick
jumpiness, running on dark monitors, and some DOS extender incompatibilities.
These features are incorporated into the v1.8 patch disk.
